Photo Sesion with Nymph Kotobukiya

Hello to all ^^, I´m here again with another cute figure this time is Nymph from Sora no Otoshimono,Kotobukiya released this angelical figure in July 2011 with a price of 7,600 yens.

The reason why I bought this figure is because her blue hair ^^, I love figures with cyan blue hair and the twintails are a plus <3.I think Kotobukiya did a good job with this Nymph all we know that Koto is capable of the best and the worst but in this ocasion we got lucky .

In this row of photos we can see a genereal view of the figure with her dress put on,I cannot see big flaws in the painting maybe some little errors ,wich you have to see close,like another good quality figure and the sculpt is perfect <3,the pose of Nymph is so cute.

Nymph comes with a removable white dress composed with shoulders and a large cape divided in strips,a necklacke and her wings.

Her semi translucent blue wings are great ,you have to atach them into her shoulder,they fit very easy.

Now we have our Nymph without her dress,I think she looks cuter this way <3,you only have to pull of her head and remove the dress is a peace of cake,without her dress we can see now her shoulders and take a look at her back.

In this pics we can see how she is trying to cover her low parts XD.

Her cute face with an adorable expresion I love her flushed cheeks.

And in this one, it was a try to take her outside >.<,I took the photo in front of my window with a table and a pile of books to put her in a high place, I didn´t wanted to see any building in the photo.

And finally the box,I have to say that she comes with a little green pillow to put her on it.

In conclusion if you love the character this is a good choice,I like this one more than the plum version.

This review is dedicated to a friend who loves Nymph ^^.

Well ^^, finally I had time to spend with this little princess and to give her a beautiful room to take some photos.

This little girl who´s name is Yuri, came out in march of this year with a regular price of ¥11150,I think is a bit to much XD but she deserves it <3.

I love the desing of yuri she is so cute , her dress and her red and white crown fits perfectly with the set ,it remembers me the queen of hearts of Alice in wonderland,the paintjob is great and the sculpture is wonderful but we can see some imperfections in her hair or in the crown maybe if the company was other the result of the final product would be much better.

She comes with a large white staff ,a big red sofa and a little black cat ... yeah, the white one comes with a magazine ... but well if you want to have the figure "complete" is the only option you have.

It comes with a beautiful calendar too with some cute pics of yuri and the cats created by tsubasu izumi.

Finally I am free XD ,no more exams for me ^^ well ,I have an oral comprehension on tuesday but it doesn´t count :).

Since I have bought my new camera ,I always wanted to try again to take some pics of this cute figure in the same place where I took the photos with my sony ciber shot ,also I wanted to test a polarizer wich I bought this week.

The last weekend I spent saturday´s morning with my cute Noumi.

First we went to a beach near my city to take some photos,It was a sunny day but the wind tried to mess up the day .

Later we went to a lighthouse near the coast to take more photos.

My conclusion is that this nendo is more than cute XD.

Building the scenery for Sherlock

Well,Since I bought the D90 I wanted to take a photo without natural light and only using one reosurce or two of artificial light,in this case the light box that holds sherlock,and the blue light in the house,I used a small flaslight with low battery to improve the light effect around sherlock.

The photo wast taken with a opening of 22,iso 400 and a low speed.

In first place I used a tiny blue light inside the box light but it didn´t light to well so I changed it for a little bulb with more power and the difference was big.

Later I used photoshop to erase the base of sherlock and fill with black some parts of the background.

Mini Sculpey tutorial

Here I go with a little tutorial of how to use the putty Sculpey.

Sculpey works like modeling clay, is some harder and in the case of Super Sculpey is semi-translucent flesh-colored.

There are several types of Sculpey but I recommend to start with the super sculpey which dont cost too much,the basic box of 450 gr cost around 12 euros.

Tools:

-To model we use basically the hands but it is recomendable to have tools for certain details : A scalpel or a cutter (to remove leftover parts, details like the fringe of thehair), blades (to smooth out some areas), a punch (for making holes) and so on. Can be found at any craft store.

Where to start:

-First do a little sketch on a piece of paper of the figure you want to create.

-If it is a large figure is advisable to build a wire skeleton, you can cover it with foil to give the basic shapes to the figure.

-In the case of a small figure there is no need to use it.

-Once we are clear about what we gonna do, we will begin to shape the putty.

Steps:

-Start with the head, once made you can make the body in proportion.

-Do it little by little, when you have a finished part, bake it ,you cand add more details later if you want.

-Before baking the pieces make sure you straighten them as much as possible, you can use johnson baby oil with a brush to correct those areas that have imperfections.

-You can use the oil with a little putty to joint parts that you have already baked.

Baking:

-For baking you have to have a home oven, fireplace and microwave are not valid.

-You can bake the figure as many times as you wish.

-I put the oven at 100-110 degrees for 10-20 min.

-When finished leave it half an hour, open the oven and if you see that is still hot let it cool.

Finishing touches:

-Now you just need to paint it but you can sand it with some soft sandpaper to remove any irregularity that you have passed.

Now you will have a new unique figure in your collection ^^, congratulations.

Review: Louise Gothic Lolita

Well here we have this beautiful figure of Louise by Alter,for me the best figure of Louise in the market ^^, I felt in love with her the first time I saw her in November of the last year.

This figure was released in may with a price of 6,800 yens , she deserves that price XD .

This Louise come from a illustration but it have some differences like the expression of her face and the skirt which is more lift up in the original paint but anyway, the figure is still lovely ^^.

About the painting job is great like all the figures from Alter :).

Yes 9 papers XD ,I don´t know why but with my last pictures I have to use more than one paper to draw something.I wanted to draw a Black Rock Shooter and it cost me a lot to put her in various papers because of the proportions but I think I did an OK job :/ for the first time drawing her.

I have to put a sword in her right hand to complete it and of course I have to ink and paint it TT ,I hope I will finish her in this week.

I have been searching figures from Nadesico but most of them are GK except a few ones released by Kotobukiya and the cold cast figures by Musashiya but the problem is that I don´t like the Ruri from the film " prince of darknes" too much :/,they killed her cuteness with this movie :(,fortunately I found this lovely GK and a group of people painted it for me ^^.

Well my first attempt to drawn Zange , character from the Kannagi anime , in the first place I had draw her sitting on a pew but for some reason I didn´t like very much the result ,this is the problem to draw things on 4 or more papers you have to be very precise with the measures.

If you can see in the last picture with color it have some flaws with the shadows in her dress because I mess up with the layers :( but it can be fixed with some work :
